Raising funds for PAPYRUS with my first 10k

On Sunday 14th April, I completed the Mersey Tunnels 10k in 1 hour, 13 minutes. More importantly, we managed to raise £410 for PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, a charity that is very close to my heart. This will enable Papyrus' suicide prevention hotline to answer 82 more calls, emails and text messages, potentially saving lives.

This was my first ever running challenge, and I underestimated the difficulty of reaching the 10k landmark. I didn't train as much as I should have, and that resulted in a few sections where I struggled. But the support from so many backers inspired me to finish at New Brighton, where my family cheered me on.

I will certainly be completing more challenges in the future, raising awareness and valuable funds for mental health charities and initiatives.

If you would like to donate to my JustGiving page for the 10k, helping Papyrus still further, you can find the details here.

Thank you.
